Police are investigating a homicide in an incident where the body of a 19-year-old man was found on a bed with multiple injuries in Kandara, Muranga County.
Police said a huge stone was lying on the body’s head when it was discovered on Tuesday morning at Hui village in Gakarara sub-division.
A relative found the body of a man identified as Lewis Mwaura Muiruri at the house of his uncle who was working in Murang’a town at the time.
Police said the body had multiple head injuries and a large rock on its head.
Police said they are investigating whether the bed was the primary crime scene.
The motive for the suspected murder is not yet known, said the police investigating the case.
The body was taken to the General Kago Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
No arrests have been made, but detectives are investigating the case.
