A cruise ship company called Storylines is set to launch a luxury ship that offers buyers permanent luxury residences.
Dubbed ‘MV Narrative’, this luxury vessel is offering fully furnished accommodation to buyers who have the option of staying on the cruise ship either permanently or for an extended period.
According to CNN Travel, there are 547 units available onboard. These include one- to four-bedroom residences, studios and two-story penthouses.
Buyers will spend between KSh 45 million and KSh 909 million to acquire the accommodation on an outright purchase basis. However, residents will be charged a living fee of anywhere between KSH 7.3 million and KSH 22 million per unit annually.
Annual funding is expected to cover meals and general maintenance. For the benefit of lessees, the company announced a limited number of 12- to 24-year leases.
Storylines CEO and founder Alister Punton told the news portal that they have already sold some units and hope to sell it by the end of 2022.
According to the company, the buyers of the project will enjoy a life of luxury. Onboard amenities include multiple bars, swimming pools, a movie theater, a wellness center, and a hydroponic garden farm. The ship also includes a full education program and a team of medical staff compromising doctors and nurses.
The CEO further revealed that buyers can rent out to their residents and invite guests.
