Detectives are probing the incident where Maasai Girls’ Secondary School principal Rose Otieno was involved in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) misconduct.
According to Narok County Commissioner Isaac Masinde, an investigation began when the parents accused Ms Atieno of soliciting Ksh3,000 from her to facilitate the exam leak.
The discovery prompted the County Examinations Multi-Agency Committee to order the Center to leave with immediate effect. The inspector and security officer assigned to the school were replaced immediately.
“While we continued the investigation, the supervisors and security personnel were taken to different schools. Once the investigation is complete all those accused will be tried in a court of law,” said Masinde, the deputy principal who took charge of the Centre.
The commissioner further said that five mobile phones were recovered from two other examination centers in that area. However, examinations from other centers are going on smoothly, he added.
