KCPE Result- 2021/2022 The results for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam has been released.
The results are now available online. Candidates who appeared in the exam can check their result in three ways:
Using KNEC SMS Code 20076
Using an Online KNEC Portal

To check KCPE 2021/2022 results using SMS code 20076
This is the most effective and fastest way to check the results. To get the KCPE Result 2021/2022 by SMS a candidate has to send an SMS to 20076 with his index number.
This service is available through the three network providers in the country namely Safaricom, Airtel and Telcom network. Send SMS in the format: IndexNumberKCPE.
Do not leave any space between the index number and the KCPE; Also write KCPE in capital letters.
The cost of each SMS is Sh.25.

Using the KNEC Online Portal
All you need to do is remember your index number and use your mobile phone or computer to use this method to check 2021/2022 results.
Here is the process:
Visit the official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
Check the KCPE Result tab, click on it
Select the year in which you appeared for the exam
Enter your index number.
Finally click on submit button.
Your KCPE results should appear on the screen after a while.

Finally, candidates can check their KCPE 2021/2022 Result by visiting their former schools a day after the official release of the exam.

The Kenya National Council of Examinations (KNEC) would like to bring to the notice of all institutions presenting candidates for the KNEC examinations the following information:
Exam result slips and printouts
Every institute admitting candidates for KNEC examinations will receive a hard copy of the institute’s examination result printouts and result slips which capture the following information:
1. Code and name of the organization.
It appears on the top left of the printout. The Institution Code is a unique number by which the examination center is identified by the Council.
This is the number that an institution should always quote when communicating with KNEC.
2. DETAILS OF THE CANDIDATES
Below the name and code of the institute is the details of the candidates. These details include the candidate’s index number, year of examination, gender, individual subject grade and average grade
The important features of the exam result are as follows:-
X – denotes absent candidate. A candidate is declared absent if he does not appear in one or all the papers in the examination. However, for KCPE test results, the symbol AB indicates absence.
Y- Indicates that the candidate was involved in an examination irregularity. For KCPE test results, the symbol 00 indicates an irregularity;
P- indicating that the candidate’s test results are pending due to violation of the admission requirements for the examination. Wrong KCPE details for admission in KCSE exam;
W- indicating that the candidate’s test result has been withheld on the basis of suspicion that the candidate has engaged in an examination malpractice and the investigation is ongoing;
U- denotes unclassified test result due to violation of award criteria.
Mean Grade Award Details.
If a candidate is absent in all the subjects the mean grade will be X
If one or more subjects are canceled the mean grade will be Y.
If the admission requirements for the KCSE exam are not met, the mean grade will be U.
The mean grade CRNM for teacher education, trade and technical examinations not meeting the curriculum requirements will be.
Mean grade will be P, if results are pending.
If the test result is withheld, the mean grade will be W;
The details of pending, withheld and irregularities are communicated to the institute through the Deputy County Director of Education at the time of release of examination results and are received by the institutions along with the examination results.

Once the certificates for a specific examination are ready for collection/dispatch from KNEC, the institutions will be notified through the mass and print media, the Deputy County Director of Education and/or the Heads of Institutions:
All certificates for regular candidates are issued to heads of schools/institutions and to private candidates through Deputy County Directors of Education.
The Kenya National Examinations Council reserves the right to withdraw a certificate for revision or for any other reason should it become necessary.
Upon the release of KCPE and KCSE examinations, candidates can access their results through the SMS number provided during the release of official results.
KCPE candidates are expected to access their result slips through KNEC website immediately after the release of examination in their respective schools.
