This year Kenya’s top candidate in Certificate of Primary Education has emerged with an average of 428 marks. According to the latest update of results released by the stakeholders of the Ministry of Education, Magata Bruce Mackenzie from Gilgil Academy in Nakuru County has emerged with over 428 marks.
The exam release is currently underway with more details to come before the public. Kenyans have congratulated the student for his excellent performance in this year’s examination.
Speaking at Mtihani House today, CS George Magoha said gender parity was achieved after registering 50.28 percent for boys and 49.72% for girls in the exam. However, three papers including Mathematics, English Language and Religious Studies showed a decline as compared to 2020.
The ministry went ahead to release the list of top 10 candidates in their examination of the years. Here is the list of candidates.
1. Magata Bruce Makenzie – 428 Marks.
2. Momanyi Ashley Kerubo, Makini School-427 points.
3. Kuoma Charity Bakhoya, Misibu Girls, 426 points.
4. Mbugua Sharon Warimu-426 points.
5. Muteti Shantel Ndinda -426 points.
6. Stanley Otieno Omondi – 426 points.
7: Wekesa Naomi – 426 points.
8. Kimani Ethan Kiruga-426 points.
9. Njeru Joel -425 marks.
10. Musyoka Victor-425 marks.
