The love of parents knows no bounds, as they will go above and beyond to provide the best possible life to their children.
After being named as one of the top candidates in the 2021 KCPE exams, there was a flurry of excitement in the house of Sheryl Kabari’s parents.
Sheryl’s mother, Connie Kabari, couldn’t hold back her joy after her daughter scored over 400, prompting her to keep the promises she made before the trial.
“Mom and dad, you promised me a lot and I’ve done my job and scored over 400 as you asked for. Please keep your promises,” Connie remembered her daughter’s words.
“Things that we promise our children thinking they will not fulfill, we must fulfill them. Stay tuned and wait for the gifts, you deserve everything that we promised you my dear angel Sheryl, ”she said.
Sheryl’s parents rewarded her performance with a Ksh6 million Toyota Land Cruiser.
Sheryl was seen dancing in joy over the car by her father, popular Benga musician Kevin Omondi aka Dola Kabari.
“I promised to gift her a new phone, while her father had promised her a four-wheeler, well there you go,” his mother said.
The number of candidates who secured more than 400 marks in the recently released KCPE exams increased from 8,091 to 11,857 in the 2020 KCPE exams.
Education CS George Magoha congratulated the candidates, assuring them that they would all be transferred to secondary schools as promised by the government.
“Irrespective of the marks secured by the student, all the candidates appearing for the examination shall be slotted to appear in Form One under the 100% transition policy from primary to secondary schools,” the CS said during the release of the examination.
