According to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, all schools in Kenya were to reopen on April 25 for Term 1.
Cabinet Secretary for Education George Magoha also earlier said that all students should be in school and no one should stay at home on fee issues as he claimed that the government has released billions to support free education.
However, 4 schools in the country have been closed indefinitely shortly after reopening.
According to a report shared by Citizen TV, schools in Baringo County have been closed due to several bandit attacks in the area and theft of animals in villages.
Several shots were heard in the area from last night till this morning. Most of the residents of the area have fled their homes in unknown places due to fear.
There are also reports that some of the injured are being treated at hospitals after being shot in the attack.
However many police officers have been deployed in the area to keep an eye on the suspects and find them.
