The teacher employer, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), insists that in its new scheme to promote teachers from July, it will only consider teachers who get C + (plus) on KCSE.
This came after the commission stopped automatically promoting instructors with better academic credentials.
TSC CEO Dr. According to Nancy Macharia, previously stated in Parliament, the automatic teacher promotion was terminated because it was not sustainable.
“The program was financially unsustainable due to the large number of highly qualified instructors,” Macharia said in a statement.
According to a recent report by the Teacher Service Commission, teachers in six job groups will receive a pay rise with arrears after the July 2022 budget.
According to the study, the income of teachers in grades C4, C5, D1, D2, D3 and D4 will increase as they have not yet reached the maximum return points allowed by salary bending.
The Commission has also confirmed that pay points for this grade will be increased from July 1, 2020.
In addition, since they reached the maximum wage point by January 2022, these teachers will receive an increase in outstanding pay.
This is wonderful news for instructors who fit into this category.
