Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has asked universities and colleges to contact their respective KUCCPS students and give them joining instructions and expedite the start of their academic journey.
While acknowledging that the current corona virus pandemic has had an impact on learning in the country, the CS advised colleges to come up with new ways to ensure that learning continues.
All first-year students of 2022/2022 are eagerly anticipating their arrival at campus. Despite the fact that colleges have yet to communicate to them , most have been visiting computer cafes incessantly to download their admission letters.
It is worth vital to realize that institutions will communicate with students personally.
All the admission lists and letters for each university would be published online, both on the university’s own portals and on the kuccps student site.
In the recently completed KUCCPS placement exercise for the 2020/2021 academic year, 122,831 candidates were put in university degree programs, while 88,724 were placed in TVET institutions. 53,726 people will be admitted to Diploma programs, 29,112 to Craft Certificate programs, and 5,886 to Artisan Certificate programs out of those who were put in TVET.
The majority of students will begin their studies in September for the first semester of their first year.
Just before this, the placement agency will activate the inter-institution transfer portal so that those who are not comfortable on where they will be placed can apply for transfers.
