The Ministry of Education has elevated Ossen Girls High School in Baringo County to National status following good results that were posted in the last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination as well as the previous exams where the school has been posting impressive results.
This was announced by the Director General for Ministry of Education Paul Kibet during a Thanksgiving Ceremony held in the school.The school scored a mean score of 7.6 up from 5.6 in 2020
The Director General congratulated the school’s management for good adminstration that has seen the school’s performance improve.
Kibet promised that the school will witness massive infrastructural improvements to befit the school’s new status .
Leaders present among them Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis thanked the national government for elevating the school to a National school saying it will help improve education in the county.
The Government introduced elevation of at least two schools to National status in every county this saw 94 more schools conferred upon national status. More schools are likely to be elevated based on various parameters.
