Following the announcement made today by the TSC, there is some encouraging news for teachers in Kenya: a report says that unemployed teachers will be hired as soon as possible.
The Nation newspaper estimates that there will be a total demand of around 356,000 new teachers before the end of the year.
We want more teachers and the Teacher Service Commission is expected to hire around 356,000 unemployed teachers. Meanwhile, we have a shortage of teachers (TSC).
By the end of this year, 356,000 people are expected to apply for the 14,000 available teaching places.
Unemployed Kenyan teachers should get together and submit their applications for the position as soon as possible before things get worse.
A thorough examination of the documents and submission of certified copies of the required documents using the attached checklists are both mandatory steps. In the event of a lack of any of the required documents, which could cause delays in teacher onboarding, the subcountry directors will be the ones who will be held personally responsible for the situation.
I really hope this information is useful to you and I would be very grateful if you could comment and share it.
