On Monday, July 11, 2022, it was the official start of the second term of this year.
However, because this day was regarded as a public holiday for Muslims, many students, especially those who attend day schools, a number of them did not report to class ,but some boarding school students did.
Going by the earlier MoE calendar, the 10-week term in 2022 was expected to have a three-day Halfterm from August 11 through August 14, however these dates have been rescheduled to come earlier. Students will break for Halfterm on 5th August 2022 and resume back on 13th August 2023
Note since most schools act as voting centers, it goes without say that the dates for the upper part of term 2 are likely to be changed and arrive earlier before August 11.
This is because August 9, 2022, has been set as the General election date across the nation.
According to the ministry of education’s calendar, there should be students in class on this day, which is still implausible.
Ministry of education now has a responsibility to make and decision and announce the changes public to the public.
In this year, the third and final term, which is just one week shorter than the first two, will begin on September 26th, 2022. N/B This term there won’t be a half-term break.
Those in Standard 8, grade 4, and 6 pupils will take the KCPE, KCSE, and KPSEA national Examinations.
Then between November 28 and December 1, 2022, candidates from Kenya will also take the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams.
At the same time,KCSE exams will be administered from December 1 to December 23, 2022. From January 2 until January 20, 2023, marking will take place.
Kenya Primary School Education Assessment will be administered by the KNEC examination board, although no dates have been established (KNEC).
KPSEA evaluations will take the place of the KCPE as part of the new competency-based curriculum.
