Kenya Medical Training College or KMTC offers 76 medical courses through 7 faculties and 18 departments. In addition the college offers a number of short courses .
The certificate course lasts for two years and the diploma course lasts for three years.

For those who wish to enter KMTC and proceed to the Certificate course, they must have at least a C- in group subjects in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE).
Also, for those who wish to pursue a diploma program, they must achieve a minimum of C with special qualifications in cluster subjects.
Also, refresher courses require applicants to be certified in a relevant field.
For higher diploma programs, each applicant must have a diploma in accordance with these guidelines.

2 For Diploma, KCSE means C level (or equivalent) and a combination of other subjects including English, Kiswahili, Biology, Life Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Physical Science.
3 years except for Community Health Nurses who are for 3 ½ years
3 Holders of advanced certifications in relevant fields with at least two years of work experience.
2 years except for Community Health Nurses who are for 18 months
4 Higher Diploma holders with relevant major and minimum two years work experience. 1 year
5 For Short Courses Individuals and groups such as corporate bodies, companies and government departments interested in any course or course can make a written request to schedule.
