Lady murdered in Airbnb Traveled from Athi River to Roysambu to have dinner with alleged killer.
The police have arrested the suspects in Roysambu’s murder
The three suspects are being held at the Kasarani police station while investigations continue.
Among those arrested is a Nigerian national who was arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) while attempting to flee the country.
Kasarani OCPD Joseph Muriuki explained to the media that they had not informed the family of the recent development as they were still searching for the head of the deceased.
Citizen TV reported that the lady, whose head has not yet been found, was a student at a local university.
According to the Citizen, the slain lady traveled from Athi River to Roysambu to have dinner with the alleged killer.
NTV reported that the lady met her alleged killer on Instagram and they were seen together several times.
Risper Muthoni, the manager of the Airbnb where the unidentified lady was found dead, said she discovered the gruesome murder through the apartment caretaker.
According to Citizen Digital, Muthoni said the janitor called her on Sunday, January 14 and informed her about polythene bags on the stairs as well as a white sheet soaked in blood.
“He told me there were bloodstains leading to my house.”
She revealed that the suspect rented an Airbnb on Saturday, January 13 at 3 p.m. Muthoni provided police with CCTV footage of him picking up the key.
“Nyumba haina CCTV lakini mahali kwa duka aliendea funguo iko na CCTV, we tried to call him but simu yake ilikua mteja (the house doesn’t have a CCTV camera but the place where he went to pick up the keys has a CCTV system. We tried to call him but his phone is unreachable),” she said.
In another interview with Plug TV, Muthoni said the caretaker noticed the arrival from the Airbnb and when he alerted her, she went there before reporting to the Kasarani police station.
“We knocked on the door at 8am and no one answered. We opened the house and everything was intact; you can’t suspect a crime was committed inside,” she said.
She described the client who booked the Airbnb as a young man.
“Alikuwa kijana mdogo (It was a young man. I don’t know the identity of the lady),” she added.

It emerged that the prime suspect had faked his identity while booking the Airbnb where the heinous act took place.
The killing comes two weeks after another lady, Starlet Wahu, was brutally murdered at an Airbnb in South B.
