The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) calls on all qualified and interested candidates to submit their applications without delay for the 20,000 junior secondary school internship positions.
These placements support the extension of the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) in mainstream schools and special schools (SNE).
The program is designed to give unemployed registered teachers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through mentoring and coaching.
*To apply, applicants must:*
Become a Kenyan citizen.
Have a degree in education or higher, with a minimum KCSE of C+ (plus) overall and C+ (plus) in two subjects.
Be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
Applications must be submitted online only via the TSC website (www.tsc.go.ke) or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.
Manual submission will not be accepted.
Applicants must not have been employed on a permanent, pensionable basis by TSC.
*Applicants must be prepared to submit:*
Teacher Registration Certificate or a printout from the TSC portal.
National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) map, if applicable.
National identity card or passport.
Two passport photos.
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN.
Duration of the internship: 12 months. Monthly Stipend: Trainees earn Kshs 20,000, subject to statutory deductions. Certificate of Completion: Awarded to trainees who have successfully completed the program.
