Bomet county has been dealt a blow after KMTC closed down it’s Bomet campus and shifted students to the neighboring campuses.
The notice was sent to students messages with information revealing that the move was because of the poor state of the art at the Longisa referral hospital.
The move has caused public uproar with many condemning the county government for negligence of the referral hospital that has cost the county its pride. The KMTC has not only been an economic boost to the county but also gave the locals a proximal institution for their children.
The newly elected Bomet East MP says that he had taken over the matter and had booked an appointment with KMTC CEO, hoping that the situation could be salvaged.
” I have managed to talk to the principal of Longisa KMTC and the CEO of KMTC and I would like to inform you that I’m working on this matter hopefully this will be resolved since I have managed to get an appointment for today evening with the CEO of KMTC,” Richard yegon said.
