Accidents on Kenyan highways have been on the rise in recent times, with many people losing their lives due to reckless driving on the roads.
A few months back, students of a popular high school, who were on their way home, got into a horrific accident in which some of them lost their lives.
This afternoon, according to reliable reports from the Nairobi-Naivasha Highway, indicate that a terrible accident has occurred in Kimende.
According to an eyewitness, the bus was carrying high school students from Nairobi who had just closed school. It is not clear what caused the accident that happened some time ago on the busy highway.
The bus, said to belong to Guardian Bus Sacco, ply on the route from Nairobi on a daily basis.
Some students are said to be injured and fortunately there were no casualties in the accident.
Motorists have been advised to exercise extra caution while approaching this section of the highway.
