Education cabinet secretary Professor George Magoha issued an update concerning learners across the country.
Speaking to journalists on Friday afternoon, Magoha addressed the ongoing school term and the national examination that are been set for this term.
Magoha stated that despite the ongoing presidential petition, schools will go ahead with the planned schedule.
In addition, the education docket boss stated that irrespective of the ruling the ministry is hoping the students will still go back to school and sit for their exams.
We still hope by the grace of God that irrespective of what happens our children will go back to school,” Magoha addresses next term’s school re-opening concerns.
The concerns come at a time when the US embassy issued a travel advisory to Kisumu.
Parents questioned the government how it has prepared to safeguard their school going children incase of any chaos arising from the ruling.
Magoha has however urged parents not to worry as the school calendar will proceed as planned
