Former IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has died. Chebukati who had been ailing for a long time, passed away last night at Nairobi Hospital, where he had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close to a week after being rushed from his Nairobi home.
It’s not clear what ailed him, but he had been in and out of hospital for the past two years.
Chebukati oversaw Kenya’s 2017 and 2022 general elections.
