In Kenya, Members of Parliament have enough powers to make or break many things. They have been doing this in Parliament on many issues and for that reason, it is always a pleasure to have someone supported by MPs. While there, anti-CBC parents and teachers woke up to good news today as lawmakers rolled out their latest moves.
According to the Daily Nation, lawmakers have now made a U-turn as they poke holes in the CBC. Lawmakers along with teachers’ unions are said to have raised fresh concerns over the implementation of competency based curriculum, citing inadequate capacity by teaching staff.
Uhuru’s government was also blamed for placing more emphasis on building classrooms to accommodate the growing number of students, but on the other hand, they have failed to adequately train and hire more teachers.
