All the the first-year students will start reporting to various Technical and Vocational Education Training Institutions on September 5 for the academic year that will run from this year to 2023.
As per to the state department of vocational and technical training , the timetable for the 2022/2023 academic year has been released.
Following a circular dated June 16, education ministry released the timetable which will apply to both public and private TVETs.
Part of the statement in this circular reads “Public TVETs are further required to ensure optimum utilisation of the institution through mounting short/tailor-made training.”
The circular signed by Mr. Tom Mulati on behalf of the Principal Secretary further clarifies that this will enable youths to be equipped with relevant skills.
*Note: Term Dates for students joining TVET institutions *
First term of the academic year will begin on September 5 and end on November 25.
The Second term will begin on January 9, 2023, and end on March 31.
The 3rd and final term will begin on May 8 and end on July 28.
Therefore it means that all 2021 KCSE candidates who applied to join various TVET institutions will be expected to join in September.
