In September 5th 2022, first-year students must report to various Technical and Vocational Education Training Institutions.
This year through 2023 will make up the academic year.
Official timetable for the academic year 2022–2023 has been announced by the state department of vocational and technical training.
Education ministry published the schedule that will be used by both public and private TVETs in a circular dated June 16.
As per to the circular “public TVETs are further needed to achieve optimal utilization of the institution through mounting short/tailored training.”
This circular makes it clear that by doing this, youths will be able to acquire the necessary skills.
Mr. Tom Mulati signed the document on the Principal Secretary’s behalf.
Second term will start on January 9 and expire on March 31 of 2023. The circular states that the final periods will start on May 8 and finish on July 28.
This move indicates that the 2021 KCSE candidates who submitted applications to enroll in different TVET institutions should do so before September.
According to CS education George Magoha, a total of 16,000 students passed up varsity spots despite receiving grades of C+ or higher.
Professor Magoha was speaking at Eastleigh High School during the announcement of the 2021 KCSE Universities and Colleges Student Placement results.
As per to Magoha 90% of applicants who received a mean grade of C+ or higher and applied to attend universities or TVET institutes were accepted.
“85 percent of applicants were accepted into degree programs, while only 5% will take up courses in TVET institutions,”
