For the last two weeks, social media circles have been ablaze with unsubstantiated news purporting that the Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec has finally released the anxiously waited for 2022 KCSE Examiners’ pay.
Today the Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec has however left the contracted professionals mute& Speechless. This is after the Council for the first time in history decided to release Examiners’ dues in bits.
According to the latest details at our disposal, Knec has only paid a flat rate usually paid as an advance amounting to Kshs 10,000 to each contracted 2022 KCSE examiner
This amount is usually paid when the Examiners are clearing from the various designated marking centres upon completion of the national marking exercise.
This year however, things took a different turn after Knec underestimated the budget for the 2021 KCSE Examinations hence running short of money to advance the Examiners in May 2022.
