Teachers Service Commission has announced promotion for more than 2400 senior teachers. It is in line with Career Progression (CPG) for teachers.
Senior teachers include; Principal, Deputy Principal, Senior Masters, Head Teachers, Deputy Head Teachers, Curriculum Support Officers, Senior Teachers and Senior Lecturers.
As stated by Secretary Dr. Nancy Macharia, the vacancies will cover all of the above.
The commission plans to recruit over 1,300 secondary teachers, senior masters, deputy principals, primary teachers, senior teachers, deputy head teachers and head teachers in line with the CPG for teachers in arid and semi-arid land (ASAL) and staff areas.
Those recruited include; 53 Chief Principal, 51 Senior Principal, 49 Principal, 33 Vice Principal I and 15 Deputy Principal II, 233 Deputy Head Teacher II, Senior Teacher I and Senior Teacher II.
“Interested candidates, who fulfill the essential qualifications, will be required to submit their applications online through the TSC portal so that the same can be obtained immediately, with the same opening at the end of this month. Manual application will not be considered,” Macharia said in a public notice yesterday.
