In Kenya, a good number of students fail to join their dream universities of choice due to lack of fees to accommodate them in the campuses.
These students should put into consideration applying for the HELB loan which can play a significance role in ensuring they study in the universities. HELB is tasked with a mandate of ensuring such students to various institutions and pursue their dream career.
If all does not go well with HELB, these students should seek for deferment from the respective universities. Deferment entails being part of the university as a student but you have to stay away of the university for a certain period in search of university fees.
Instead of losing hope, they should defer and wait for another academic year as they look for the required amount in the due course. They can engage in business activities which could ensure that they at least save something at the end.
