A total of 63 candidates and one observer were arrested over exam malpractices inside the Kakuma refugee camp in Turkana.
Turkana County Police Commander Samwel Ndanyi confirmed the arrest and said it was in connection with allegations of exam fraud.
The arrests were made on Tuesday at two different test centers inside the Kakuma refugee camp.

The arrested supervisor has been identified as Mr Edward Ekodor Lochole.
Several phones were confiscated from the candidates in Greenlight Secondary School.
The county police boss told Nation, “The preferred charge against the candidates and supervisor was an additional charge of examination malpractice and dereliction of duty to the supervisor.”
The candidates were released on free bond to appear in Wednesday morning’s paper, he said.
The supervisor was released on cash bail.
The incident happened on the third day of the KCSE exams that began across the county on Monday.
Since the commencement of the examination, there have been reports of malpractice in some parts of the country.
