The Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) under the Ministry of Education has announced the opening of full-time Special Education (SNE) teachers in service courses at the institute. The openings are for diploma holders.
Through a circular issued by the Ministry of Education and signed by Julius Jawan, Principal Secretary, Department of Elementary Education and Basic Education, the area of expertise in this year’s programs is education for learners with visual impairment, physical disability, mental disability, hearing impairment. Autism and education for gifted and gifted learners.
Applicants must complete the application form and submit it in person to the county or sub-county director of education’s office, after which the forms will be sent to Jogoo House B, Room 710.
Anyone can download the application form from the website of the Ministry of Education or collect it from the education offices in counties or sub-counties.
Application deadline is set for April 8th 2022.
Some of the requirements are as follows: must be under 50 years of age, must be a P1 certificate or P1 holder by promotion through teacher proficiency course, have served TSC for at least five years and must be a Kenyan citizen.
Each applicant must carry one in his own handwriting, copies of educational certificates, original letter of appointment by TSC, professional education certificate, copy of national identity card or passport, color passport size photograph not taken in the past Completely filled form is required to be submitted. Three months and copies of recommendation letters.
Successful candidates will be informed through Short Message Service (SMS), website of the Ministry and Sub-County Offices.
