The contracted professionals include center managers (principal and head teachers), supervisors, inspectors, examiners and security personnel who are charged with conducting national exams.
KNEC says that those who have not registered on the online platform have till midnight to register and download their assignment letter.
Both school heads and teachers participating in the 2021 examinations are required to register on the portal and submit their details.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) said that it has assigned 242,406 teachers to the national examination supervision and marking duties.
Speaking in an inter-ministerial address at the Kenya School of Government on Friday, February 18, TSC boss Nancy Macharia said teachers would be submitted to Knec to serve as supervisors, supervisors, center managers and examiners.

On the other hand, the headmaster of a secondary school earns a daily allowance of Rs 500 for 18 days. The highest paid supervisor gets a total of Rs 12,510 while the highest paid supervisor gets 9,860.

KNEC said that the number of candidates appearing in the KCPE exam has increased by 34,085 as compared to the previous years. As per the KNEC data, an additional 78,424 candidates have been registered to appear for the KCSE exam.
