The Ministry of Education in Kenya has announced the 2022 school calendar to all elementary and secondary schools in the country (2022 term dates).
According to MoE calendar, the learners started term one of 2022 on April 25, 2022.
After five and half weeks stay in school, all students both in primary and secondary were on Halfterm break that commenced on 26th to 29th May 2022.
After a three day break, all students reported back to school offfically on 30th May 2022 . This will ensure the continuation of term one that will see it coming to an end July.
The term dates are being adjusted, according to the Ministry, in order to restore order to the school calendar, which was disrupted by the covid 19 outbreak.
Following stakeholder consultation, the new term dates were decided upon in order to cover the remaining two terms of the 2020 school calendar and stabilize the school calendar by December 2020.” A circular from the Ministry of Education titled;
