The school principal, chemistry teachers, two laboratory technicians, supervisors, five supervisors and forty-two students were taken to the Siaya police station to record their statements on realizing that the chemistry practical paper was leaked.
According to Alego/Usonga Sub-County Police Commander Benedict Mwangangi, some 20 candidates were found to have four mobile phones, some of whom had some leaks in the chemistry paper they were yet to sit for.
The police boss says that on checking the phone, it was found that Kiswahili’s paper was also leaked in them, which had already happened.
Mr Mwangangi said the phone had a WhatsApp group with 42 students from that school, forcing him to look at the other 20 members along with the first 22 to record statements at the police station.
Confirming the incident, Mr. Enock Nyarango, the Siaya sub-county deputy-county commissioner, said that even though the main suspect of that syndicate is still not caught, he has also taken statements from seven others, including the school principal and a chemistry teacher. have been registered. ,
Mr Nyarango said the students will spend the weekend in police custody as the investigation has begun and searches continue to arrest and prosecute the prime suspect.
