CBC students who are in sixth grade and are expected to join seventh grade next year will not be allowed to join the boarding school. Students will use day schools as they transition to the next CBC level.
Parents had previously protested that their children were still young and were wondering how they could survive in a boarding school with big high school boys and girls.
Again the children were still too young to handle themselves in boarding schools. TSC boss Nancy Macharia said she would pay more attention to CBC children than other secondary school students because they could handle themselves.
His ministry has eased tensions by saying children will use day school and not boarding because of earlier protests. This is to ensure that children are safe and comfortable in the learning environment.
