A family from Kasarani in Nairobi County is seeking justice after their relatives died under mysterious circumstances
Michael Onyancha died after falling from the third floor of a building in Kasarani.
The family of Michael Habel Onyancha is questioning how he allegedly fell from the third floor of the building moments after partying with an identified woman.
The family called on the police to fast-track the case to ensure justice for the man, who left behind a wife and child.
CCTV footage shared by Citizen TV captured Michael climbing the stairs of the Kasarani apartment on the night of Friday, December 15.
The camera showed the 33-year-old banker struggling to climb the stairs in the company of a woman after a night of partying.
CCTV footage captured the woman picking him up from below and helping him climb up, and also recorded the two entering the lady’s house.
Moments later, he was pronounced dead at St. John’s Community Hospital. Františka, where he was taken for treatment.
What the eyewitness said
An eyewitness said the man fell from the third floor moments after a heated argument with his host.
“I heard voices but I couldn’t really understand what was being said. I saw hands and I called the janitor very quickly. We saw his legs, the janitor tried to grab him but he was gone.
I saw the lady who lives upstairs. She said she told the guy to leave the house but he jumped,” the eyewitness claimed.
He crashed through the roof and missed several iron bars before landing on the floor.
According to the witness, neighbors rushed to the spot to check on him as he was having trouble breathing.
