Three students from South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) were killed yesterday evening when a motorbike they were riding rammed into the rear of a stationery lorry.
The three, all first year students,died on the spot, with the motorbike left stuck on the wheels of the truck.
Two of them are from the main campus at Kwa Vonza, while the other is from the Kitui Town learning centre
The accident occurred along the Kwa Vonza-Kitui road. Reports indicate the crash happened as the motorcycle attempted to overtake the truck.
Eyewitness accounts suggest the motorcycle was speeding before it crashed into the rear of the lorry.
Authorities have moved the bodies to the morgue.
