The body of a secondary school principal from Bomet was discovered on Friday in Brigadier by the River Nzoia, which separates Bungoma and Trans Nzoia Counties.
On Thursday, September 8, the 47-year-old Isaac Wafula Bukhebi, the principal of the Bosto mixed secondary school, was reported missing.
He had told his wife that he was heading to the Makhele market near Kapkoi, which is close to the family’s home in Moisbridge, to buy some airtime.
John Onditi, the commander of the Kiminini Sub County Police, confirmed the occurrence.
He claimed that on September 13th, the deceased’s wife reported her husband’s disappearance.
The body was discovered in River Nzoia, according to the police chief.
The deceased principal’s body was transported to the mortuary at Kitale County Referral Hospital.
The police boss revealed that the postmortem report indicated that the deceased’s body system suggested that he had consumed poisoned food.
The presence of food poison clearly points to the fact that the deceased could have been poisoned or poisoned himself. The marks on his body could also be a result of hitting himself on stones in the river,” he said.
Trans Nzoia leaders led by governor George Natembeya were appalled by the death of the principal.

The Trans Nzoia County Kuppet chairman and incoming Waitaluk Ward delegate Lusweti Furaha expressed sympathy to the late principal’s family and friends and noted that the teaching profession had lost a notable individual.
Before being elevated to the position of Principal of Friends Masaba, the late Mr. Bushebi worked as the deputy principal at Friends Bwake Boys High School in Cherangany.
Later, he was sent to Bosto Mixed Secondary School in Bomet, where he worked until his passing before being transferred to Toro Mainek Secondary School.
