The Teacher Service Commission(TSC) currently under the leadership of Dr Nancy Macharia is an independent organ that has the mandate to recruit, promote, discipline and pay teachers based on the commission’s code of conduct and ethics.
The Commission CEO Dr Nancy Macharia and other leaders in the commission have been working around the clock to ensure that all teachers across the country work in conducive environments.
The commission also has the mandate to sack teachers who fail to adhere to the code of conduct and directives which govern the commission.
Following the indiscipline cases of some teachers, TSC has sent many teachers packing from different schools in the country.
Dr macharia said that the 52 teachers who are removed from the teacher’s register are by section 30(1)(e) of the Teachers’ Service Commission Act.
