Two secondary students died after being hit by a lorry while riding a motorcycle.
Johnny and Mike, who were 14 and 16 respectively, were reportedly on their way to their home when the accident happened.
As per reports, two school going boys work as bodaboda riders when the school is closed and on this particular day they ride on the same motorcycle that one of them was driving.
Eyewitnesses who spoke to the media revealed that the driver of the truck going in the opposite direction hit another motorcycle before hitting his motorcycle.
“The driver was drunk. He was trying to escape when he turned to another street and hit Boda Boda on the head. He had alcohol in the lorry,” said an eyewitness.
Confirming the incident, Mr Simon, the area’s police boss, said that both died on the spot and their remains were taken to the morgue.
He cautioned parents not to allow their children to drive motorbikes as they are not aware of basic road safety and instructions.
