The Teachers Service Commission announced over 13,000 employment opportunities for July 2022. Whereby applications are to be made purely online.
The publishing of the list of shortlisted candidates will be done between 13th July to 15 July 2022 on the Teachers Service Commission website.
Thereafter the shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews between 21st July to 27th July 2022 which will include the county selection process and filling of application forms by successful candidates.
In a bid to bridge the teacher shortage in the country the National treasury allocated the Teachers Service Commission 2.5 billion for the recruitment of additional 5,000 teachers to help support the 100 percent transition policy.
The commission also decided to advertise a total of 8230 vacancies that fell vacant as a result of retirement, resignation , expulsion and natural attrition. This are vacancies meant to replace teachers and they are equally applied for online.
During the interviews candidates must be in possession of the following:
a)National identification card;
b)Authentic evidence of service as a teacher intern (where appicable);
c)KCSE certificates or its equivaent (incude certificates for attempts if one re
d)Certificate of Registration as a teacher;
sat exams);
e)KCPE certificate or its equivaent (include certificates for attempts if one re
sat exams);
f)Primary and Secondary School eaving certificates and other relevant
g)Diploma/Degree certificate and official transcripts; and or testimonials.
h)National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card (where applicable)
i )An affidavit sworn under the oaths and statutory Declarations Act , Cap 15 of the laws of Kenya to explain the variance in names.
j)Letter of certification of results by KNEC (where applicabe).
Candidates are warned by the commission that any form of canvassing in bid to influence the employment outcome will lead to automatic disqualification of candidates.
