According to TSC’s new recruitment guidelines, qualified teachers with internship experience have a better chance of getting TSC jobs.
The quality of one’s certificate is another factor that will increase one’s chances of getting hired.
Tutors teaching subject combinations such as Physics/Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, and Chemistry/Biology, on the other hand, are easily absorbed by TSC due to their scarcity.
Applicants must submit originals or legible photocopies of the following documents:
National identification cards;
National Council of Persons with Disability (NCPWD) Card (where applicable);
KCPE Certificates;
KCSE Certificates (include first attempt certificate if repeated exams);
Diploma/Degree Certificates and official transcripts;
Primary and Secondary Schools leaving certificates
NB: Provisional transcript shall not be accepted.
Where names on the submitted documents differ, the applicant will be required to submit a sworn affidavit.
Qualified candidates will be required to apply for the vacancies online and wait for their names to be shortlisted. Following the shortlisting process, the commission will invite candidates for interviews.
Teachers Service Commissions and Boards of Management are responsible for conducting the selection process for advertised vacancies in their institutions.
As required by the Public Officers Ethics Act and the TSC Code of Conduct and Ethics 2015, the Selection Panel will be held to the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
Before the selection process can begin, the Head of Institution must educate the panel members on the relevant sections of the Act and CORT 2015.
It is important to note that teachers who participate in the internship program will receive an extra thirty (30) points. This automatically gives them an advantage.

Finally, ensure that you have excellent content mastery in your teaching subjects.
