In some cases, the probationary period can be extended if the teacher’s performance is not satisfactory; at worst, the teacher can be terminated before the probationary period ends. For regular approval, the head of the institution completes a recommendation form for the teacher, which is sent to the TSC for approval.
Teachers are expected to attend the assigned institution as indicated in the employment letter and have 30 days from the effective date; even as shown.
The employment letter also states the teacher’s expected base salary per year based on their entry grade. A teacher is also entitled to a fixed salary allowance in his class.
*Allowances that teachers can receive are:* Teachers who work in so-called hardship areas receive the hardship allowance above two allowances. Those who work in schools with diverse students also receive special allowances.
Teachers are expected to work wherever the TSC feels their services are needed. In addition, the instructor must have served at least five (5) years at the primary duty station that he was first posted before requesting a transcript.
