The deputy headmaster of Siksik Secondary School in the Chesumei constituency of Nandi County was stabbed to death by his wife yesterday over a family dispute.
It is being told that both Gideon Kemboi 34 and Sharon Kemboi 27 are having family disputes for the last few years.
“Fights, fights and screams have become common in the couple’s family for some time now. There has never been peace in their house, ”said Tekla Jerotich. According to reports, a scuffle broke out within the family after the wife suspected that the deputy principal was having an extramarital affair.
After an altercation between the two, Sharon allegedly took a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband in the chest.
Gideon died of excessive bleeding on the way to the hospital.
The suspect has since been arrested by police and is currently being held at Kapsabet Police Station, where she is to be produced in court.
“Police officers arrested the woman and at the same time took her husband’s body to the morgue at Kapsabet County Hospital,” Jerotich said.
The criminal investigation team has started investigation to find out the cause of the incident.
