Kenya Prison Service has started the recruitment process of Jail Constables (Male & Female) today, 8th February 2022.
The qualifications for the candidates willing to join the service are given below.
Qualification (Constable)
Prospective candidates wishing to join the Kenya Prison Service must fulfill the following conditions and possess educational qualifications as indicated;
• Must be a Kenyan citizen;
• Have a valid national identity card;
• Have no criminal record;
• Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) from a recognized institution with a minimum grade of D+ and above or equivalent qualification;
• Secondary school dropouts between 18 and 28 years of age;
• Be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall for men and 5 feet 2 inches tall for women;
• Be physically and medically fit;
• Must have good hearing and clear vision;
• Female candidates should not become pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire training period
Upon recruitment, candidates will be required to undergo an intensive Government-sponsored para-military preparatory training course lasting at least nine (9) months.
The recruitment process will be absolutely free. Bribery and other acts of corruption are illegal.
Any person who presents himself for recruitment to engage in forged or forged educational/professional certificates, identity cards, or any act amounting to corruption shall be disqualified, arrested and prosecuted Will go
Members of the public are cautioned that the recruitment will be conducted only at the empaneled recruitment centers and on the day specified.
So any person who is issuing call letters away from the recruitment centers should be treated as criminal.
Prospective candidates must carry their original National Identity Card, Birth Certificate, KRA Pin Certificate, Educational Certificate and other testimonials on the day of recruitment.
