It is learned that chaos has intensified in Baringo County following a bandit attack in which a grade three Pupil has been killed.
A grade three pupil at Tuyotich Primary School in Baringo County was shot at allegedly by armed bandits today, prompting more than 40 families to flee to the school seeking for refuge.
Currently, an increasing number of families have sought refuge at Tuyotich Primary School due to the unstable security situation in the area. The families from Kasiela, Chemwani, Seration and Menmeno sub-counties are among 40 who have been forced to flee.
The Baringo County Deputy Chief of Police has confirmed that the young man was killed by suspected cattle rustlers on his way home from school.
According to the deputy county police chief, members of the public found the student’s body and informed the authorities.
The body was taken to the hospital mortuary for postmortem.
Today’s incident has created a tense atmosphere, with residents fearing that there could be more attacks.
Security agents have been deployed in large numbers, and they are currently on the hunt for those responsible for the gruesome work.
