President Uhuru gave good news to the people of Kenya yesterday when he announced a 12 percent pay rise for workers.
However his move has been misinterpreted to mean that all Kenyans will receive a pay rise.
However, this is not the case as only a group of workers will enjoy the pay hike from this month.
According to a publication published by Standard this morning, the only workers who will receive a pay rise include cooks, gardeners, cleaners, housekeepers, janitors and messengers.
This means that these workers will get a salary increase of 1,629 ksh from this month.
If a gardener, for example, received ksh 13,573, he would now receive a salary of sh 15,202.
However the salary increase depends on the current working and living conditions of the workers.
