Students recently from high school or other kenyans with a mean Grade D (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) now have the opportunity to secure permanent and pensionable government jobs.
Public Service Commission (PSC) announced on Tuesday, May 31st-today that it was looking for 61 drivers for the State Department of Social Services, which is part of the Ministry of Public Service.
Salaries for the jobs in question range from Ksh15,670 to Ksh17,570 per month, depending on the job group that one is.
All interested candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate vehicles that are permissible for a government official.
They should also have completed a one-week First-Aid Certificate course at St John’s Ambulance or the Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology.
Other requirements include passing a driver grade III test, passing a Ministry practical driver test, having a certificate of good conduct, and having at least two years of experience.

The interested candidates should fill out a form on the Ministry’s website, Socialprotection.go.ke/jobs, indicating their qualifications, which should include both academic and professional accomplishments.
Only shortlisted candidates would be contacted by the end of the process, according to the Ministry.
